Ireland -- Code of Practice on Sharing of Radio Sites

Download now (159 KB)

The Irish regulator, the Commission for Communciations Regulation ("ComReg") issued this Code of Practice on Sharing of Radio Sites (the Code) to facilitate sharing of radio sites between 3G operators. The Code applies to radio transmission sites under the Operator's control. This Code provides a common site-sharing framework for all 3G operators active in Ireland; it is intended to complement existing site sharing commitments that are contained in the Operator's licence. Ultimately, the goal of the Code is to make it easier for 3G operators to enter into sharing arrangements, thus reducing the pressure on them to acquire new sites.
