easyMobile Provision of mobile service via the Internet
easyMobile.com uses the Internet as the only sales & distribution channel. This enables easyMobile to keep costs low and to offer services at very competitive prices. easyMobile bases its operation on buying airtime from other mobile operators, and can therefore extend its services to other countries without major investments in local network facilities or customer handling.
The service is modelled upon the successful Danish mobile service launched in 2001 by Telmore and now owned by TDC. Telmore has reached a market share of more than 10% in Denmark since its launch in 2001, making Telmore one of the most successful Mobile Service Providers in Europe.
easyMobile.com is a joint venture between the Danish telecoms operator TDC & TIH Invest A/S. The Telmore concept has been copied by many operators and service providers all over Europe.
