Public Consultation: iNTERNATIONAL | Public Consultation – Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Policy, Industry Canada: Spectrum Policy Framework for Canada, 2002 - Policy Guideline 13. | Policy Statement: Industry Canada will continue to use the most modern means to disseminate and collect information and ensure that appropriate mechanisms are in place to allow interested parties to provide input to the Department on spectrum matters. International The Canadian government, industry and other concerned organizations participate in International and regional organizations to represent Canadian interests on spectrum matters. On a global scale, the ITU establishes frequency allocations and regulations for the use of the spectrum and the processes for the coordination of frequency assignments. The ITU also develops an extensive set of recommendations for radio systems characteristics and spectrum use. On a regional scale, the principle body to address spectrum use is CITEL, which deals with spectrum and standards issues in the Americas and also advocates these views at the global level. |
